Ukraine cut export of corn to 2.5 mln tonnes in February

Ukraine exported 2.48 mln tonnes of corn in February, down from 3.46 mln tonnes shipped in the same month of 2020.

Particularly, Ukraine cut export of corn to Egypt to 308 thsd tonnes in February, down from 791.4 thsd tonnes the year ago. At the same time, shipments to China grew to 579.6 thsd tonnes from 256.2 thsd tonnes in February 2020, supplies to Spain increased to 470.1 thsd tonnes from 349 thsd tonnes.

Ukraine exported 13.2 mln tonnes of corn in October-February of 2020/21 MY, down from 17.5 mln tonnes supplied to the foreign markets in the same period of 2019/20 MY. China imported 4.7 (1.9) mln tonnes of Ukrainian corn, Egypt – 1.5 (2.6) mln tonnes, Spain – 1.4 (2.6) mln tonnes, Netherlands – 1.3 (1.8) mln tonnes.
